United Futures is a partnership with a difference. A strategic investment in community regeneration by United Utilities, the programme aims to support communities the company serves as well as addressing some key business issues.

United Futures provides funding to develop Groundwork projects that bring the two organisations together, addressing a range of economic, social and environmental issues that are important to both organisations.

United Futures is a five year programme set to run until 2009 and will deliver strategic links between Groundwork and United Utilities, as well as developing and enhancing an ethos of joined-up sustainable development working at all levels from grass roots to the boardroom.

The partnership model being developed through United Futures is bringing practical benefits and a richer quality of life as well as delivering the corporate objectives of both organisations. The programme is on course to become an exemplar method of best practice in the application of CR and the delivery of sustainable development.
